Important gear: Camera, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent, cap or hat, sun glasses, gloves, bathing suit, towel, sandals, binoculars, backpack or handbag, comfortable walking shoes or tennis shoes, T-shirts, long sleeves shirts, long and short trousers, wind breaker and waterproof jacket, warm sweaters, passport, and some cash (US dollars) for entrance fees, meals or drinks.

Insurance: It is responsibility of every traveler that he/she is adequately insured against personal accidents and medical expenses during his/her trip to Ecuador, as well as having travel cancellation and baggage insurance to protect him/her.

Tour booking policy: Our tours are based on private trasnportation and guiding services. - All tour prices are given in U.S. dollars. - All services should be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Bookings must be done through www.suviatour.com, or by paying directly at our offices. - For last minute bookings, our clients must request availability via phone or e-mail. After confirming availability, bookings must be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Special physical conditions, allergies and dietary restrictions must be informed to a Suviatour´s representative in advance. - Our tours will be guided in fluent English, or Spanish languages, as it is required. For special language requirements, passengers should inform at least 5 days in advance. - Suviatour shall have no liabylity with passengers in case of accidents or sickness. Therefore, Suviatour deeply recommends private travel insurance. - Suviatour reserves the right to cancel or suspend tours depending on weather conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, etc. Always regarding for the safety of the passengers. - Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund money on the same day that the tour takes place. Cancellations must be done 48 hours previous the departure day.

Payment policy: All tours and services must be pre-paid, before tour departure date. - Children under 2 years old don´t pay. - Suviatour never offers refunds if a cancellation happens within 72 hours before tour departure date. Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund any money due to cancellations done on the same day that the tour takes place. - Suviatour refunds 50% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour 30 days or more, before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 25% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 15 to 29 days before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 10% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 3 to 14 days before tour departure date.

ANDES AND AMAZON EXPERIENCE

DAY 1: We will start early in the morning, at 08h00, towards the “Amazon basins”. After traveling through the Valley of Tumbaco across the eastern cordillera of the Andes and then descending through the cloud forest to reach the small village of Papallacta in order enjoy its hot springs. This waters give us the opportunity to enjoy its incredible healing properties. Papallacta is a small village located at an altitude of 3.300 meters above sea level, in the Andes just off the Eastern Cordillera on the road from Quito which leads into the Amazon jungle. Besides its magnificent setting, nestled among the rolling, green, cloud-forested hills, Papallacta draws in tourists with its main attraction, the thermal springs. Upon our arrival we visit the interpretation center, which provides information of the protected area and its surrounding areas. Then we continue with our spirit of adventure in a nature walk along marked trails and pristine mountain streams, observing the flora and fauna of the Andean forest. We will stay the overnight in Termas Papallacta SPA & Resort.

DAY 2: After breakfast, we will depart, early in the morning, to the subtropical rain forests, located in the foothills of the Andes, we will stop at Guango Lodge to experience the privilege to spot hundreds of hummingbirds flying around us from a very closed distance, then we continue towards Baeza, that is located in between three important national parks: Antisana, Sumaco-Napo-Galeras and Cayambe-Coca. We will stop at the “Macao’s viewpoint”, from that point we can appreciate a huge green carpet with exuberant Amazon vegetation. In the afternoon we will arrive to Itamandi Lodge where we will have lunch. We will have time to acclimatize and adapt to the new weather conditions. There we begin our adventure! During our walk in the jungle, we will enjoy the incredible landscape of the tropical rainforest. At night we will share our experiences at the pool area, which is located next to the bar! We will enjoy for the rest of the night our lodge.

DAY 3: We will do a walk into the primary forest. We visit the animal rescue center “AmaZOOnico”, then we do one of the most famous adventure sports known as “tubbing”, in the Arahuno river. After our fascinating experience, we will go back to the lodge to have lunch. Our next destination is Puyo, where we will learn about the wooden carvings made out of balsa wood. Continuing with our trip we cannot miss the well known and famous “Avenue of the Waterfalls”; as “Pailón del Diablo”, where we will walk through narrow trails and hanging bridges, until we arrive to the 72 meters waterfall, that give us the opportunity to enjoy three waterfalls. Going back to the Andes, we will stop to take a ride on the 500 meters long cable car, which give us the chance to admire another beautiful waterfall called “Manto de la Novia”. We go through several tunnels built inside mountains until we arrive to the “Agoyán waterfall”. Finally we arrive to “Baños de Agua Santa”, wich is at the foothills of the majestic “Tungurahua Volcano” (5.016 m.a.s.l.) that has been in activity since 1997. We will stay the overnight at Hotel Luna Runtun, where we will have dinner.

DAY 4: After breakfast, we start our drive back to Quito. During our journey we will visit the “Salasaca`s Indigenous Market”, and San Agustin de Callo, a unique hacienda in Ecuador, built over impressive Inca structures. Here we will have the chance to enjoy a typical lunch, surrounded by Inca walls and llamas, while we learn about the history of this place. After lunch, we go to Cotopaxi Volcano (5.897 m.a.s.l.), which is a beautiful place to admire the local flora, lagoons, wild horses and different ecosystems. Also we enjoy the exotic fauna while we walk around “Limpiopungo Lagoon” (3.800 m.a.s.l.). After the hike, we drive up to the parking lot located at 4.500 m.a.s.l., then we will have the opportunity to do a hike up to 4.800 meters above sea level, where the "Jose Rivas refuge" is located, very closed from the glaciers!! We drive back to Quito, and finally it will be the end of this unforgettable experience!
