Tour booking policy: Our tours are based on private trasnportation and guiding services. - All tour prices are given in U.S. dollars. - All services should be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Bookings must be done through www.suviatour.com, or by paying directly at our offices. - For last minute bookings, our clients must request availability via phone or e-mail. After confirming availability, bookings must be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Special physical conditions, allergies and dietary restrictions must be informed to a Suviatour´s representative in advance. - Our tours will be guided in fluent English, or Spanish languages, as it is required. For special language requirements, passengers should inform at least 5 days in advance. - Suviatour shall have no liabylity with passengers in case of accidents or sickness. Therefore, Suviatour deeply recommends private travel insurance. - Suviatour reserves the right to cancel or suspend tours depending on weather conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, etc. Always regarding for the safety of the passengers. - Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund money on the same day that the tour takes place. Cancellations must be done 48 hours previous the departure day.
Payment policy: All tours and services must be pre-paid, before tour departure date. - Children under 2 years old don´t pay. - Suviatour never offers refunds if a cancellation happens within 72 hours before tour departure date. Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund any money due to cancellations done on the same day that the tour takes place. - Suviatour refunds 50% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour 30 days or more, before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 25% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 15 to 29 days before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 10% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 3 to 14 days before tour departure date.
UNFORGETTABLE VOLCANOES (2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT)
DAY 1: Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 07h00, and we will drive directly to the Antisana Ecological Reserve. At 3.810 meters height you will have enough time and good chances to find the majestic Andean condors, considered the largest flying birds of the world and one of the rarest species that has possibly survived since the era of the mega beasts (10,000 years aprox.). Also, we will walk to the Mica Lagoon (4.050 m), result of the end of the last ice age, to get a better view of the volcano and water birds such as: gulls, Andean lapwings, coots, ducks, black-faces ibis, which curiously live in Chile and only in the Antisana volcano (5.753 m.a.s.l.) in Ecuador. Then, we will descend to the Isco Canyon, where the nests of Condors are located. After enjoying more views of these birds, we will have a typical lunch at a local restaurant. We will pass through Selva Alegre to see how the local people prepare the tasty and well known grilled guinea pigs, considered as a novelty´s meal during the Inca period. We finally arrive to Hotel Cotopaxipungo at 17h30, where we stay to overnight enjoying its privileged infrastructure and location.
DAY 2: We start at 08h30. We will travel towards the Cotopaxi National Park, that was created in 1975 as a protected area for the volcanoes and lakes within it. Around 09h00, we will find Cotopaxi Volcano (5.897 m.a.s.l.) in roder to be surrounded by pristine forests, mountains, lagoons, wild horses and ecosystems that change as we reach the highest point. You will see also exotic species such as: pumas, andean foxes, carunculated caracaras, llamas, while you participate of the walk around the most outstanding lake in the region, called Limpiopungo (3.800 m.a.s.l.), which reflects in its waters the majestic Rumiñahui (4,757 meters above sea level). We have the challenge to drive towards the parking lot located at 4,500 meters above sea level in order to hike where the shelter “Jose Rivas” is located (4.800 meters. above sea level). After this great and unforgettable adventure we will return back to Quito at 17h00.
