After confirming availability, bookings must be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Special physical conditions, allergies and dietary restrictions must be informed to a Suviatour´s representative in advance. - Our tours will be guided in fluent English, or Spanish languages, as it is required. For special language requirements, passengers should inform at least 5 days in advance. - Suviatour shall have no liabylity with passengers in case of accidents or sickness. Therefore, Suviatour deeply recommends private travel insurance. - Suviatour reserves the right to cancel or suspend tours depending on weather conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, etc. Always regarding for the safety of the passengers. - Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund money on the same day that the tour takes place. Cancellations must be done 48 hours previous the departure day.
Payment policy: All tours and services must be pre-paid, before tour departure date. - Children under 2 years old don´t pay. - Suviatour never offers refunds if a cancellation happens within 72 hours before tour departure date. Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund any money due to cancellations done on the same day that the tour takes place. - Suviatour refunds 50% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour 30 days or more, before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 25% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 15 to 29 days before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 10% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 3 to 14 days before tour departure date.
CONDORS WATCHING TOUR AND SPA
DAY 1: Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 07h00, we will drive directly to the town of Pintag, where you will start to ascend to the Antisana Ecological Reserve. At 3.810 meters height, you will have enough chances to find interesting wildlife such as: eagles, carunculated caracaras, white-tailed deer, and of course, the majestic Andean condors, considered the largest flying birds of the world, and one of the rarest species that has possibly survived since the era of the mega beasts (10,000 years aprox.). Also, we will walk to the Mica Lagoon (4.050 m), the result of the end of the last ice age, to get a better view of the volcano and to observe bird species such as: gulls, Andean lapwings, coots, ducks, black-faces ibis, which curiously live in Chile and only in the Antisana Volcano (5.753 m.a.s.l.) in Ecuador. Then we will descend to the Isco canyon, where the nests of condors are. After enjoying more views of these birds, we will have a typical lunch at a local restaurant. We finally reach Termas de Papallacta at 17h30, where we stay to overnight in order to enjoy the health properties of its hot springs.
DAY 2: Papallacta is a small village located in the eastern Andes at an altitude of 3.300 meters. In addition to its magnificent surroundings, it is located in the rolling green elevations of the pre-mountain subtropical forest. In the morning we have time to relax at the SPA with a previous reservation. We can again plunge into the depths of the thermoludic pools, where its waters emerge from internal geological layers through fissures to the surface, with a unique healing potential and beneficial effects of clean air. At 13h00 we continue our spiritual of adventure hiking along marked trails and spring mountain slopes, observing the flora and fauna of the Andean forest.
We will be back in Quito at 17h00.
