After confirming availability, bookings must be fully pre-paid before starting the tour. - Special physical conditions, allergies and dietary restrictions must be informed to a Suviatour´s representative in advance. - Our tours will be guided in fluent English, or Spanish languages, as it is required. For special language requirements, passengers should inform at least 5 days in advance. - Suviatour shall have no liabylity with passengers in case of accidents or sickness. Therefore, Suviatour deeply recommends private travel insurance. - Suviatour reserves the right to cancel or suspend tours depending on weather conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, etc. Always regarding for the safety of the passengers. - Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund money on the same day that the tour takes place. Cancellations must be done 48 hours previous the departure day.
Payment policy: All tours and services must be pre-paid, before tour departure date. - Children under 2 years old don´t pay. - Suviatour never offers refunds if a cancellation happens within 72 hours before tour departure date. Under no circumstances, Suviatour will refund any money due to cancellations done on the same day that the tour takes place. - Suviatour refunds 50% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour 30 days or more, before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 25% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 15 to 29 days before tour departure date. - Suviatour refunds 10% of the total amount if the client decides to cancel a tour between 3 to 14 days before tour departure date.
EXCLUSIVE QUITO CITY TOUR
This tour takes five to six hours. Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 17h00 to start this fascinating journey into the past, that not all our visitors have had the opportunity to experience during daylight! We will begin with the religious complex of San Diego, which offers us one of the most complete tours around the monks former cells, with masterpieces that keep the talent of the Quito´s Colonial Art School, and will open its doors only for you! Its convent was the old Recoleta of the Franciscan Order, founded in 1597. We will have the opportunity to visit the sacristy, the temple, the outdoor chapel, the ossuary behind the church, three courtyards of the convent, refectory, bell tower and the Profundis room with the dining and bakery room.
Then we will drive to the San Francisco Plaza, La Merced and, of course, the Plaza Grande, in order to see the amazing structures, buildings, monasteries, churches and squares illuminated with majestic colors. We will enter the Cathedral of Quito, that was built between 1562 and 1565 from the ground, under the direction of Pedro Rodriguez de Aguayo, who ruled at that time the Vacant Diocese, because the first bishop, Mons Diaz Garcia Arias, died without seeing how the work progressed. This makes, probably, the Quito Cathedral the oldest one in South America, and will also open only for your own pleasure! After this adventure, we will have some appetizers in “La Ronda” street, just to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Quito’s nightlife, before going to the folk ballet “Humanizarte”. We finish at 22h00.
